Driving to the gym this morning, I realized I was wearing the following:
socks - Thorlo
shoes - New Balance
shorts - Avia
top - Nike
jacket - Addidas
I am apparently brand confused, or not very brand loyal, or both. :)
Now, moving on to more important things...well, maybe.
I like simple. The folders for my phone apps are all one word descriptors. My Pinterest board titles are Do something, Make something, Be something, etc. Similarly, my Top Ten List for how I want to live are short verbs, because after all, life is an action.
Take a few minutes to create your own top ten list for life. Here's mine:
- Eat: good clean food. Fuel my body (mostly) with foods that have been messed with as little as possible: less packaging, less processed, less preservatives, less salt, less sugar, less ingredients that are hard to pronounce. Enjoy food, including occasional treats. And sit down while I eat it.
- Drink: water, lots of water.
- Breath: in and out, slowly and deeply. Slow down.
- Play: everyday. Move! Stretch! Sweat! Our bodies were made to be in motion.
- Share: with others (help when I can, where I can, smile, and encourage). Building up others builds up ourselves.
- Laugh: much like play - everyday!
- Make: create, build, write, paint, draw, cook, bake, plant - use my hands, mind, voice, self to "make" something, even if some days it's just making my bed.
- See: the best in others and in myself. I will only see what I look for!
- Feel: this life - joy, sadness, triumph, disappointment, wonder, grief - feel it all. One has no value without the other.
- Believe: in God. Trust in His truth and His plan for my life, even when I can't figure out what it might be.
